Our Collections
In our collection you will find thousands of photographs, an incalculable number of documents, deeds, books, genealogy files, maps and artifacts.
Like many small historical society/archives we find ourselves being “neither fish nor fowl.” We certainly have enough to fill just an archive and we have a large and wonderful collection of fine art and artifacts of every description.
We have:
- maps dating from 1847 to present day
- Fire Insurance maps of Paris 1876, 1913 and 1924
- copies of directories and gazateers
- cemetery records
- genealogy files
- newspaper indexes from 1878 to last year
- newspapers on microfilm – 1878 to last year
- census from 1851 - 1911
- Original Capron Letters and documents
- Telephone books
- over 3000 files on local businesses
- oil, pastels and pencil sketches – the work of Paul Giovanni Wickson
- Land Registry index books for Paris (1839 - 1970s)
